Carolyn Daniels for Assembly 2026 ("the Campaign," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our supporters, volunteers, and contributors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit daniels4assembly.com (the "Site") or interact with the Campaign by phone, email, text message, mail, or in person.

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code when you sign up for updates, volunteer, or contact us.

• Billing and contribution information (name, address, employer, occupation, payment details) when you make a donation. Federal and state law require us to collect employer and occupation for contributions over certain thresholds.

• Volunteer interests, availability, and skills you share when you sign up to help.

• Messages, comments, and other communications you send us.

We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit the Site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referral source. We use this information for analytics and Site security.

• Send you updates, news, and communications about the Campaign and election.

• Process contributions and comply with campaign-finance reporting requirements.

• Coordinate volunteer opportunities and respond to your questions.

• Comply with applicable laws, including the California Political Reform Act and the Federal Election Campaign Act, and respond to lawful requests from regulators.

 

Text Message (SMS) Information

 

If you opt in to receive text messages from the Campaign, we collect and use your phone number to send recurring automated and informational text messages from Carolyn Daniels for Assembly 2026. Message frequency varies; you can expect up to 10 messages per month, with potentially higher frequency in the days leading up to the election. Message and data rates may apply. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information disclosed in this policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We share information only as described below:

• Service providers we use to operate the Campaign — for example, our website host, email platform, donation processor, texting platform, and analytics tools — only to the extent necessary for them to provide their services to us, and under agreements that limit their use of your information.

• Government agencies and the public when required by campaign-finance disclosure law. Contributions of $100 or more must be reported on public campaign-finance reports filed with the California Secretary of State and/or the FPPC.

• Other parties when required by law, court order, subpoena, or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
